The 1950 Grey Cup…aka the Mud Bowl. The game between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Toronto Argonauts was played at Varsity Stadium, Toronto. Due to an early snowfall that blanketed the field, ploughs were brought in which tore up the field. Added to that were rising temperatures and rain which resulted in a very difficult game. The game ended with Toronto winning 13 to 0. This was the last time a Grey Cup game ended in a shutout.
